Low Cloud Over Signy Island

Signy Island is part of the South Orkney Island group, lying in the South Atlantic about 500km from the tip of the Antarctic Peninsula. The British Antarctic Survey maintains a biological research station on the island, which is an important nesting site for many sea birds.
